Nine months of maternity…

“What?! How?! A little girl came out of there?!?!”

Some day soon a little human being is going to be running and climbing all over your home and talking up a storm and asking a thousand questions and you are going to be mystified as to how this epic little person you love with all your being actually came from this adorable little bump… and one of those thousand questions will probably be about where they came from.

We had our maternity photoshoot with Sandy during our Kaua’i babymoon. She was such a delight to work with! She has very positive energy and quite an eye for setting the scene for the most beautiful photos. She really knows Kaua’i well and knows all the beautiful secret spots to get the most impressive photos. She is very passionate with what she does. You can tell when somebody loves what they do- it is not just a job for her. You get to wear these beautiful dresses with long trains and do multiple outfit changes. I enjoyed my photoshoot with Sandy more than my wedding portraits due to her close attention to detail and putting you at ease. She doesn’t just simply click through photos- she makes sure your hair and clothes are on point- details that lots of men don’t have.

I highly recommend professional hair and makeup. It not only elevates your portraits but also boosts your confidence, making you feel beautiful inside and out. If it’s not in the budget, no worries! Your favorite hot-date-night look works perfectly, and adding fake lashes is a simple way to enhance your look.

Consider wearing a Haku Lei—a stunning crown of flowers. This traditional Hawaiian headdress, worn around the head, exudes a feminine, tropical vibe that’s perfect for your session. While artificial haku leis are available, nothing compares to the luxury of a fresh, custom flower crown crafted from exotic blooms.

Kaua’i BABYMOON PHOTOSHOOT FAQ

Of course!! I want your maternity photos to be just what you envision 🙂
Props are not needed but it’s a great way to have some fun and add a playful element to a few of your images. When it comes to maternity photography there are all kinds of different props that are possibilities.
~ A favorite baby outfit or pair of tiny sandals
~ An ultrasound image
~ Something with babies name on it if you’ve chosen
~ Balloons in the color of the baby’s gender
~ A sign with a sweet message or a blank chalk board to write your own words
Sometimes simplicity is the most beautiful option, we can write in the sand or pick a tropical bloom to adorn your baby bump…

These gowns are made with a light feel so they are flowy on the beach and have that epic train tossing ability. But because of that the wrong undies can cause hassles. Your best bet for a bra is a nude strapless and for panties there are 3 choices which work best depending on your comfort level and what will make you feel most confident: either go without, wear nude seamless or get some nude maternity shapewear.

You know I love my gowns that are a little “extra” but I am always down for some bikini or lingerie shots as well. They are such a celebration of your femininity and I love them.
